BIOGRAPHY

It all started in 2003. Alessandro Minoggi and Alessandro Zelaschi, both guitar players, wanted to put up a band. Before meeting, both had played in secondary school bands and had locked all their writings and ideas in a drawer for several years. Together with Gianmaria Caschetto they formed the first band, called (afterwards) "Marta Sabotage". They rehearsed for three days, three days before a concert that was also a goodbye party. The covers were awful, the choice of songs psychotic and the only original song was just beginning to see the light.. but the feeling was nice, somehow, and the audience appreciated (maybe for the idiocies in between songs, or maybe for the kiss between two men). Looking for new musicians and a rehearsal room, those three kept playing in old stores or in the (few) parks in Milan, at night. Some months later Martina Gallini and her clarinet joined the band, bringing a new, more original sound to it. In another couple of months the band was joined by Giacomo Balzarotti (bass) and Nicola Soldo (drums), and in short the first album started to surface. Since May 2004 the band has played different live dates, at barrio's café, at Transilvania Live (Milano), and at La Corte dei Giullari (Rho).

It was June 2004 when Sinestasi met Paolo Sabatini and Luigi Motta, who was creating the cultural association 'La rete della vita' and looking for artists to promote. The connection was immediate and the following month Sinestasi are in studio. Soon the singer left the band, replaced by Sergio Rebuffo (who learned all the songs in just three days!).

18.10.04: release of the first album.

There's a new replacement in 2005,Vladimiro Viggiano at the bass, showing impressive skills and the enthusiasm of a soldier in license.

At the same time the last, necessary element joint the band: Federico Alberto Pozzi, piano and keyboards, great musician and friend with a great versatile talent. Of the same period the most important concerts, at C-Side and Rolling Stone (Milano). The singer Gianmaria Caschetto came back in October 2005; the first new songs see the light, together with a whole lot of covers in between Beatles and Pixies, Morgan and Green Day, along the already well known schizophrenic lines of the band.

After a CD and 17 shows, in September 2006, the band has wounded up. Spreading its members between Puglia and Belgium. Anyway, this website is going to stay online. For us and for all of them who never met Sinestasi and would like to know what this band was. And as an homage to our fans: we will never thank you enough for your support, love and friendship.
